ABOUT US
The owner of Beaujangles is the wife of an ex-Coldstreamer. Beaujangles is a reformation of Chelsea Knitcraft, which many Coldstreamers and ex-Coldstreamers will remember from Cyprus (February 1988-March 1990) and London (April 1990-July 1993). Chelsea Knitcraft originally started in 1987 and operated until 1993 when the 2nd Battalion went into suspended animation. Chelsea Knitcraft initially produced blue-red-blue sweaters for the Coldstream Guards, as well as blue-red-blue pom-pom hats, some of which have survived to this day. In 1990 the first blue-red-blue sweater with an embroidered bearskin and logo made its way into the ranks and, following its success, was extended to polo shirts.
The final parade of the 2nd Battalion in July 1993 saw the creation of yet another popular design, which can be seen in the Coldstream Guards Collection. (CG04). This was initially screen-printed onto limited edition white T-shirts, although the design is now available for embroidering onto polo shirts. There have been many requests for more sweaters and screen-printed t-shirts but these are, regrettably, no longer available.
NOTE WELL: All embroidery is done in gold unless otherwise stated, or requested by customer.
